Privacy Policy

This text covers both the web directory and the Atlas Coffee mobile app, a digital project managed by an individual responsible.

1. Data controller

2. Scope

This policy applies to:

• The web directory of specialty coffee (cafés, roasters and academies).
• The Atlas Coffee mobile app (iOS and Android), which adds a user account and personalized features.

3. Data we collect

On the web directory

• Public editorial data of businesses included in the directory.
• Emails you voluntarily send through the contact and claim forms.
• Aggregated, anonymous browsing metrics (see Cookies Policy).

In the mobile app

We collect only what is needed for the app to work and personalize:

• Account: your email address to create and access your account.
• Profile: the display name you choose to show, if you set one.
• Location: approximate or precise location only if you grant permission on your device, to show you nearby places. You can revoke it at any time from your system settings.
• Push notifications: a notification identifier (token) from your device if you enable alerts, and your notification preferences (including whether you were asked for permission and your response).
• Your activity in the app: favorites, places and content you save, and the news categories you subscribe to.

We do not collect sensitive data and we do not profile you for advertising.

4. Purposes and legal basis

• Providing the service (account, directory, nearby recommendations): performance of the service you request.
• Sending notifications you have enabled: your consent, revocable at any time.
• Improving the product through aggregated, anonymous metrics: legitimate interest in keeping a functional, quality service.

5. Processors and third-party services

To operate Atlas Coffee we rely on providers that process data on our behalf or as part of the platform:

• Supabase — database and authentication.
• Vercel — website hosting and performance metrics.
• Expo — push notification delivery in the mobile app.
• Apple and Google — app distribution and their platforms' notification services.
• Google Maps — maps and place geolocation within the app.

Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy and the safeguards required by applicable law.

6. We do not sell your data

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We do not show third-party advertising and we do not share your information for advertising purposes.

7. Retention

We keep data while you have an active account or while it is needed for the purposes described. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data except what we must keep by legal obligation.

8. Your rights

You may exercise at any time your rights of access, rectification, deletion, objection, portability and withdrawal of consent, as well as restriction of processing, by writing to info@atlascoffee.es. You may also lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority (in Spain, the Spanish Data Protection Agency, AEPD).

9. Minors

Atlas Coffee is not directed at minors and we do not knowingly collect data from minors.

10. Changes

We may update this policy to reflect service improvements or regulatory changes. We will always show the date of the latest update.
